Hi all,
Over President's Day weekend, my bf and I went to visit the lovely city of Seattle with some friends and had so much fun! I'm not gonna lie, I thought the SF Bay Area can get cold at times, but GUUUURRRRL, nothing prepared me for the heavy chilly gusts of Seattle wind. There were a few times where I felt like the wind carried enough force to knock me over! Luckily, I had my bf to use as a human shield (hehe, thanks babe!)
Below are some recent pictures and recommendations of fun touristy things to do while in Seattle!
Places to Eat/Drink:
What better way to combat hunger and warm yourself up than with a nice steaming bowl of clam chowder and delicious dungeness crab rolls at Pike Place Chowder? Don't let the long lines scare you away; it moves surprisingly quickly!
Grab a Hot Toddie from Rachel's Ginger Beer! A hot toasty drink (preferably one with whiskey in it ;D) will warm you up and give you that buzzy kick to continue exploring!
The infamous Pike Place Market is a definite must see for all out of towners! Here you'll find food, small attractions, and souvenirs galore (Walk along Post Alley for amazing restaurant finds!)
Other Noteworthy & Delicious Places we Feasted at:
Wild Ginger - The Roast Duck is a must try!
Umi Sake House - Fresh sashimi and generous portions in their sushi rolls
The Pink Door - They feature live trapeze artists in their main dining room!
Attractions & Sightseeing:
Stick a piece onto the infamous Seattle Gum Wall! (Warning: This was is actually kinda gross, and you may walk away with a piece of gum stuck to the bottom of your shoe :P !)
Capture stunning photos of colorful sculptures at the Chihuly Garden and Glass museum. The glass sculptures really come alive when showcased against live nature at their outdoor garden
Experience the twinkling city lights by riding the Seattle Great Wheel at night. The ride lasts about 15 mins or so, giving you plenty of time to snap a few photos while also taking in the waterfront sights!
I hope this short little post offers some fun touristy ideas for your next trip to Seattle!
Are there any other places I missed and should visit next time? Leave it in the comments below!
